Heart Disease

Specialist in coronary heart disease
Heart failure is not sudden cardiac death.
We have a home visit nursing station "Hearty" and a cardiac rehabilitation station "Revive", and we strive to treat heart failure.
Hypertension
Hypertension, along with smoking, is a very important risk factor for life-threatening diseases such as stroke, coronary artery disease, and aortic aneurysms. We always aim for good control.
Valvular heart disease
With the aging of society, valvular heart disease such as aortic stenosis and mitral regurgitation are increasing. Echocardiography is used to evaluate valve disease. It is also used in determining the timing of surgery and post-operative follow-up.
Cardiomyopathy
Dilated cardiomyopathy, in which the lumen of the heart dilates and reduces contractility, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, in which the heart muscle becomes enlarged, are diagnosed by echocardiography. (Cardiac catheterization may be necessary.) Heart failure and dangerous arrhythmia are likely, and medication and careful observation are required.
Angina pectoris
If angina pectoris is suspected after diagnosis, exercise testing is performed on a treadmill. If the exercise ECG changes, the coronary arteries supplying blood to the heart are probably extremely narrowed, requiring coronary angiography or catheterization. If the stress ECG is normal and angina pectoris is diagnosed during the conversation, medication is started. However, if there is a risk of early myocardial infarction, emergency hospitalization may be required.
Blood pressure measurement
・Blood pressure is measured by a nurse, not by a machine, through auscultation.
・Measurements are taken in a relaxed, resting state using a reclining chair.
・Another advantage is that the nurse can observe the patient's overall condition.
・Check for arrhythmia during auscultation.

Chronic heart failure
Heart failure is a disease in which the heart deteriorates, causing shortness of breath and swelling, which gradually worsens and shortens lifespan.
The number of heart failure patients in Japan is estimated to be approximately 1 million and increasing. This is because the number of elderly patients with heart failure is increasing due to lifestyle-related diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, in addition to a past history of cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, and myocardial infarction.
The 5-year survival rate for heart failure patients is said to be about 60%, but with improvements in lifestyle and care, it is possible to lead a natural life with less pain.
We have established a home visit nursing station "Hearty" and a cardiac rehabilitation station "Revive", and we strive to treat heart failure.
